You could spend hours in a bookstore, and millions of dollars, resarching the best way to succeed in network marketing. Even if you are a library member, the time you would spend going through every book about network marketing written by guru after guru would become bland and outdated after awhile. The truth is that network marketing is changing all the time, and it’s changing so quickly that printed books have a difficult time keeping up. By the time a book is actually published, the information can be found on the web in millions of free formats.
So how can you get your hands on these "free" bits of information that provide you with shortcuts, tricks, tips, and keys for success?
One of the most popular ways to learn, teach, and create community are forums. Forums have been around as long as the internet, and they allow a group of users to talk about issues they interest them. There are a myriad of different network marketing forums, and within each are separate threads about specific companies, issues, or questions that often arise in the network marketing field.
So first, why should you join a network marketing forum?
Meet Like Minds
Of course, there is the benefit of meeting like-minded people. Talking with others who are interested in network marketing can truly keep a rep motivated to do well and continue building their business. Simply the unwavering support and attitude of "we can do this!" is enough to make any forum worthwhile.
Learning in Network Marketing Forums
You also learn things in forums, and probably not the types of things you could learn in a book. You learn insider secrets about the industry, tips for communicating with people and where the best leads are at the moment. You find out about new products first, and know which companies are doing well and which are currently under investigation or worse. Forums are the hot place for this type of information and important gossip.
Prospecting in Network Marketing Forums
Some people even join forums to prospect. Chances are, there are people there who are interested in network marketing but have yet to join an opportunity. An important note, though, is that no one likes a self-promoter. Simply contribute to the conversation, and include your link in your bio. If someone likes what you have to say, they will pursue your opportunity.
But forums can’t teach you everything. They can help you with certain aspects, but some people simply won’t be able to gain all of the information they need for success through a few forums. It can be hugely beneficial to speak with an expert, or seek out some of the real-time expert advice through free downloads and websites on the net.
